Glass Bottles...
With our daughter, we used plastic bottles and then we had the twins we decided to use glass bottles. The reason so it's because my sister was using glass bottles and I saw her bottles and I thought they looked so much cleaner than my plastic bottles.
The plastic bottles that I had from when we had our daughter, I pretty much ended up throwing them all out. They get kind of yellow, and they look nasty after a while. It's not really something that you want to save you know in a box for several years.
The glass bottles are something that I can save for additional children, or I can pass them on to someone else.
They're going to look just as good as they did when I first bought them. At least the bottle part of the top part you probably want to replace the nipple and everything in there.
The bottle that we use is wide neck, and it's been great. So yeah it's a little heavier and if you drop it might break. If you just buy a silicone sleeve to put around it and if you drop it, it's less likely to break.
As far as it being a little bit heavier it is but I haven't had a problem; it's not like crap in my arm or anything, and it's not a difficulty.
I think it's worth it for the ability to wash it in the dishwasher. Just overall I just feel like it's no chemicals within it with plastic bottles you have to worry about that, and it makes me have just peace of mind knowing with the glass that no I'm not going to have to worry about that kind of stuff.
